Cincinnati Chili. Cinnamon, no beans, served with cheese and sour cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili, Cincinnati

2 lbs ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp minced garlic
3 cups water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp salt
3 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
6 ounce tomato paste
8 oz. Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3 cups Sour cream

Recipe Directions for Chili, Cincinnati

  1. Brown meat. Add in veggies and garlic; sauté (be careful not to carmelize. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, and then simmer, covered for 1 hour. Remove the cover and continue to simmer for 2 hours longer, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender and the chili is dark and rich.

  2. Sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese and add a dollop of sour cream on top.
