A simple chili with beans with a slow-growing heat.

Recipe Ingredients for Chili with beans

1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 lbs ground beef
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp curry powder
2 tbsp chili powder
2 hot peppers, chopped fine
15 oz kidney beans, drained
15 oz pinto beans, drained
8 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
1 oz brandy

Recipe Directions for Chili with beans

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, sweat onion in olive oil until translucent.

  2. Brown meat with salt, hot peppers, and spices.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer over low heat for about 2 hours.

  4. Serve with cheese, sour cream, or buttered crackers -- or just eat plain.
