Recipe Ingredients for Chili with barley

2 tsp olive oil
12 oz textured vegetable protein
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup barley
56 ounces tomatoes
1 cup water
2 tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
30 ounces chili beans

Recipe Directions for Chili with barley

  1. Use pre-cooked whole barley

  2. saute onion and meat (or meat sub) in oil. add (cooked) whole barley, tomatoes, water, chili powder and salt. Cover and cook 30 min over med-low heat. Add bean and cook 20 minutes more.
