Recipe Ingredients for Chile Sin Carne Modified Recipe

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion
1/4 cup fresh jalapenos
6 ounces ground turkey
28 ounces of canned tomatoes
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 clove garlic
14 ounces canned kidney beans
14 ounces canned black beans
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Recipe Directions for Chile Sin Carne Modified Recipe

  1. Heat oil in a 5- or 6-quart pan over medium-high heat; add onion and cook until soft. Add Yves Veggie Cuisine Meatless Ground (or optional meat analogue) and stir for about five minutes or until thoroughly heated. Add garlic.

  2. Stir in tomatoes (break up with a spoon) and their liquid, fresh jalapenos, salt, chili powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, and cumin.

  3. In a blender or food processor, whirl a third of both the kidney and black beans until smooth, adding their liquid as needed; stir into Meatless Ground mixture. Add all remaining whole beans, along with any remaining liquid to Meatless Ground mixture. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, shred 2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese. Add 5 minutes before finished cooking. Serve.
