Recipe Ingredients for Chiffon honey cake from cooking class

1 tsp instant coffee
2/3 cup coffee
1 tsp baking soda
6 eggs
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 cups flour
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup honey
1/2 cup canola oil

Recipe Directions for Chiffon honey cake from cooking class

  1. Add instant coffee to hot coffee and mix well

  2. Add baking soda

  3. Beat egg whites, adding cream of tartar, until stiff

  4. Combine all ingredients except egg whites and mix till smooth.

  5. Fold in egg whites

  6. Pour into ungreased angel food cake pan

  7. Bake at 350 for 1 hour until done. Do not overbake.

  8. Invert onto bottleneck.

  9. Cool before removing.
