This is a great, tasty meal, served on its own or over rice. You can use a large can of drained chickpeas but the recipe creatoer here kept giving me the calorie count for dried. Also, try with different cheese - I used fresh goat and it was delicious!

Recipe Ingredients for Chickpeas in Tomato Wine Sauce with Feta

1 tablespoons olive oil
2 onion, chopped

1 cup feta cheese
1 salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat, and stir in the onion, garlic, and oregano. Cook and stir about 10 minutes, until onions are tender.

  2. Mix tomatoes into the skillet, and cook until heated through. Mix in wine, and continue cooking about 15 minutes, until thickened.
