Recipe Ingredients for Chickpeas and Spinach

3 tbsp canola oil
1 onion, finely chopped
14 oz canned chopped tomatoes
3 tsp ground coriander
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp chile sauce, garam masala
1/4 tsp turmeric
15 1/2 oz can chickpeas, rinsed
1 tsp salt
10 oz spinach, frozen

Recipe Directions for Chickpeas and Spinach

  1. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until edges are brownd. Stir in the tomatoes, coriander, cumin, masala, and turmeric. Lower heat to medium and cook for 3 more minutes.

  2. Stir in the chickpease, add the salt and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the spinach and cook about 5 minutes more.
