my first attempt at chickpea soup

Recipe Ingredients for chickpeas and rice soup

2 cup Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds, Canned
1 medium raw Onion Red
1 potato large (3" to 4-1/4" dia) Potatoes, Red, Flesh And Skin
1 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain
4 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 tsp Bouillon
1 tsp Sea Salt
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black

Recipe Directions for chickpeas and rice soup

  1. in a pot, over medium high heat, saute the onions

  2. add the potato(diced), onion(coarse chopped), water, pepper, bouillon and sea salt, and chickpeas(pre-soaked)

  3. bring to a boil

  4. add rice and return it to a boil

  5. cover and simmer for about 40 minutes to an hour
