My recipe is based on one I found in a Weight Watchers several years ago.

Recipe Ingredients for Chickpeas & Pasta

7 oz dry ditalini pasta
14 1/2 oz can diced tomatoes
15 1/2 oz can chickpeas, drained
1 1/2 c bell peppers
1 T extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 T dried rosemary
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 c Parmesan, grated

Recipe Directions for Chickpeas & Pasta

Cook and drain the pasta according to package directions. In a large skillet, heat oil and add rosemary, garlic (crush or mince first) and peppers. Saute peppers until medium-soft, then add tomatoes and red pepper. Allow to simmer for a few minutes, then add chickpeas. Season with black pepper and simmer on medium-high heat for several minutes until peppers have softened. Before serving, toss with hot pasta and Parmesan cheese.
