Recipe Ingredients for Chickpeas, cucumber & cilantro salad with pita bread

8 oz chick peas
4 tbs cilantro
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 cup bell pepper (orange or yellow)
5 oz cucumber (english)
2 tbs olive oil
1 pita bread
1 tsp smart balance buttery spread
1 tsp italian salad dressing

Recipe Directions for Chickpeas, cucumber & cilantro salad with pita bread

  1. Soak canned chickpeas to remove salt

  2. chop cilantro

  3. crush garlic

  4. cut bell peppers to bite size pieces

  5. cut english cucumber in small slices

  6. salad dressing

  7. toss all above ingredients

  8. toast pita bread, butter with spread, cut and serve with salad
