Recipe Ingredients for chickpea patties

227 g chickpeas,150g mashed potato,1 onion,1tsp garam masala,1 tsp chilli,1 egg.mixed together and shaped into patties sprayed with fr

Recipe Directions for chickpea patties

  1. Peel & boil the potatoes, mash & leave to cool.

  2. Peel & chop the onion place in blender.

  3. Drain & rinse chickpeas and place in blender with chilli and garam masala.

  4. Blend together.

  5. Place onion & chickpea mixture in a bowl and add the mash potato.

  6. Mix well.Add 1 beaten egg to help bind the mixture.

  7. With clean hands roll the mixture into little balls(12).

  8. Pat into pattie shapes or leave as balls.

  9. Leave in the fridge for an hour or so to help hold their shape.

  10. Then on a baking tray lined with baking paper sprayed with a little fry light bake the patties for half an hour or until golden.

  11. serve with a little fat free natural yogurt mixed with mint .
