Chickpea Burgers Recipe

This is a pretty crumbly mixture, so it's worth putting the burgers on a baking tray under the grill and not on the usual grill pan. Turn using a fish slice.

Recipe Ingredients for Chickpea Burgers

400 g can chickpeas, drained
1 small onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 garlic clove
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Chickpea Burgers

  1. Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until roughly chopped

  2. Allow to stand in the fridge for about 30 mins

  3. Shape into burgers (I usually make 8 small burgers)

  4. Place under the grill for 5 mins a side.

  5. Serve in pitta breads.
