This recipe comes word for word from the fabulous Barcelona seafood restaurant Cal Pep. I didn't have fish broth so I used white wine, same goes with the rosemary instead of the parsley. It was good anyway :) Do use baby squid if you can find 'em or you could try cutting full size squid into strips.

Recipe Ingredients for Chickpea and baby squid Cal Pep style

450 grams squid
200 grams Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds

1 clove garlic
1 tbsp chopped rosemary
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 cracked black pepper to taste

  1. In a skillet, heat the fish broth with chickpeas.

  2. Separately, in a pan with oil, add the baby squid and sauté them only a little.

  4. Cook it all together, add the salt and pepper you want.

  5. Leave it a few seconds more and serve.
