Whole Wheat pizza with chicken, onions and bell pepper.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken&Onion Whole Wheat Pizza

0.5 tbsp Leavening agents, yeast, baker's, active dry
6 oz Water
0.75 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 cup Wheat Flour, Whole-grain
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
1 serving Organic Sugar-Hain Pure Foods
1 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
2 serving Tomatoes, Crushed, Canned
0.5 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh
1 g Sea Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 Serving Chicken
3 oz Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk Cheese
0.529 oz Cheese Parmesan Grated
0.5 slice, large (1/4" thick) Onions
0.5 medium raw Bell Pepper Red
1 oz Monterey Jack Cheese

Recipe Directions for Chicken&Onion Whole Wheat Pizza

  1. Mix yeast and water in a large bowl; place in a warm spot for about 5 minutes.

  2. Sift flour, salt, and sugar into the yeast. Mix well, then add olive oil and form a soft ball.

  3. Knead on floured surface until soft and elastic (about 5 minutes).

  4. Shape into a ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl.

  5. Cover with a clean towel and place in a warm spot for about 1 hour.

  6. Punch down dough and reshape into ball. Cover and let sit another 20 minutes, or until it rises again.

  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  8. Shape dough into flat round shape and stretch onto pizza pan or hand toss and place on floured surface.

  9. Press fingertips into surface of dough until entire surface is dimpled

  10. Brush olive oil over entire surface of pizza dough.

  11. Combine tomatoes, basil 1tsp salt, garlic together. Divide and spread evenly over dough.

  12. In layers add chicken, onion, peppers and cheeses. Sprinkle crust with left over Parmesan.

  13. Bake in oven for 30minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is gooey.

  14. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
