Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken
4 oz. wild rice
1 lb. carrots
1 med. onion
5 stalks celery
5 cups chicken broth
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup flour
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Cook wild rice for 20 minutes and then let sit for 20 in the water, drain. Boil chicken for 20 minutes. Saute carrots, celery and onion in stick of marg. until cooked (20 minutes). Add 1/2 cup flour to the vege mixture to make gruel. Add 5 cups chicken broth to marg butter mixture. Bring to a boil. Add drained and rinsed wild rice, chicken, 1 cup whipping cream.
