Wholesome goodness of lots of chicken and vegetables with a touch of cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and vegetable soup

2 cups celery, diced
2 cups carrots, diced
2 cups red onion, diced
2 cups mushrooms, diced
4 tbsp butter
10 cups water
1 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper
16 oz chicken, chopped
2 cups half and half

Recipe Directions for Chicken and vegetable soup

  1. Chop lots of veggies and cook on med/high heat in large pot with butter and seasonings until soft, add water and bring to a boil, pull cooked chicken off the bone, chop and add to soup. Return to boil. Reduce heat and add half and half.

  2. Taste soup. Adjust spices. If you would like you can add a cup or two of rice or orzo but you will probably need to add water once the rice or pasta cooks up.
