A Classic chicken vegetable soup One serving is about one cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Vegetable Soup

8 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Celery Seed
1 tsp Ground Ginger
5 lbs whole chicken
1/2 cup long grain white rice
1 lbs Carrots
1 lbs Celery

Recipe Directions for Chicken Vegetable Soup

  1. Bring 8 cups of chicken broth to a boil.

  2. To the broth add: Onion powder, garlic powder,celery seed, ginger, the whole chicken.

  3. Let simmer until the chicken is done (about 30 minutes). The remove and debone and return chicken meat to the pot.

  4. Cut up the celery and carrots and add it along with the rice to the pot. Let simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
