Ready-to-bake puff pastry filled with mash, ground chicken, vegetables and baked till golden.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Vegetable Pasties

300 g puff pastry sheets (2 squares, cut into 4 rectangles)
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic
20 g leeks, chopped
150 g ground chicken
75 g carrots, diced
65 g mushrooms, diced
60 g broccoli, chopped
200 g boiled potatoes, mashed
1/2 tbsp parsley, chopped
1/2 tbsp dried chives
40 g cottage cheese

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Vegetable Pasties

  1. Defrost pastry as per instructions on packaging.

  2. Preheat oven to 200C.

  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté garlic & leeks, add chicken and brown. Add rest of veggies and cook till just beginning to soften.

  4. Combine cream cheese and mash and mix this with the chicken and veggies.

  5. Divide filling and fill pastry. Seal sides well and brush with a very small amount of lowfat milk.

  6. Bake in oven till pasties are golden (approx 20-25min).
