Chicken Thighs with Turkey Sausage

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken W/ Turkey Sausage

1 lb chicken thighs
1/2 onion (Chopped)
3 cloves garlic (Chopped)
2 bell peppers (Chopped)
1 jalapeno pepper (Chopped)
4 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup brown rice
1/2 cup white rice
2 cups water
16 oz smoked sausage

Recipe Directions for Chicken W/ Turkey Sausage

  1. In a dutch oven Brown Chicken Thighs 4 minutes each side (start with skin side first) then remove.

  2. Dice and brown the Smoke turkey sausage

  3. Add onion, garlic and 1 tspn salt and sweat for 2 mins, add peppers, tspn salt and sweat for 1 minute (then remove)

  4. Add rice and water 2 tspn salt

  5. Return sausage, onion, peppers, garlic

  6. Return Chicken

  7. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on low.
