Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Tikka

5 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon ginger root, 2 teaspoons cumin,

Recipe Directions for Chicken Tikka

  1. Mix in a large shallow dish: 5 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 2 teaspoons lemon juice (best if fresh squeezed), 2 garlic cloves finely chopped, 1 tablespoon ground cumin, 2 teaspoons ground corriander, 1/2 teaspoons chili powder and a pinch of garam masala.

  2. After mixed add 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 5 ounces each) cut into cubes.

  3. Marinate 8 hours or overnight (if possible)

  4. Grill 20-30 minutes

  5. Recommended to serve with basmati rice, wedges of lemon and raw onion rings
