Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Tetrazzini

1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
16 oz Fresh Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 2-inch pieces
8 oz Angle Hair
2 tbsp Salted Sweet Cream Butter
0.13 cup Gold Medal Better for Bread Flour
1 1/2 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
0.33 cup Soup, Chicken Broth
16 oz Mushrooms Crimini , sliced
1/2 cup Frozen Sweet Peas, thawed
1/5 cup fresh Parsley, chopped
0.13 tsp Black Pepper

Recipe Directions for Chicken Tetrazzini

  1. In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, turning once, until no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Place chicken on a plate; cover with foil to keep warm.

  2. While chicken is cooking, cook pasta according to package directions, but do not add salt.

  3. In same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Whisk milk and chicken broth into skillet. Add mushrooms to skillet; cook, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.

  4. Return chicken to skillet. Stir in peas, parsley, and pepper. Heat chicken mixture, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.

  5. Drain pasta in a colander. Place pasta on serving plates. Spoon chicken mixture over pasta; serve immediately.
