Beef stroganoff made with chicken instead, and whole wheat flour and noodles.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Stroganoff

1 onion
1 lb chicken breast
1 garlic clove
2 tsp whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
8 ounces mushrooms
2 tbsp catsup
1/2 cup light sour cream
1 tsp parsley
12 ounces noodles

Recipe Directions for Chicken Stroganoff

  1. 1. Brown chicken with onion until it is no longer pink and onion is clear.

  2. 2. Add garlic and mushrooms, sauté about 2 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  3. 3. Add soup and remaining ingredients except sour cream. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes.

  4. 4. Stir in sour cream and parsley. Mix well to combine.

  5. 5. Serve with hot cooked egg noodles. Serves 4.
