A hearty and filling winter entree

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Stew

12 oz Chicken
2 cup Vegetables, Mixed
1 cup 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup
13.016 oz Potato, Flesh And Skin
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
3 cup Low Fat Chicken Broth
3 oz FAGE Total 0%
0.5 cup, sliced Onions
1.5 cup, diced Celery

Recipe Directions for Chicken Stew

  1. Preheat oven to 225F

  2. Cut up chicken into 1 inch pieces and season with half of each spice

  3. Brown chicken in canola oil. When brown place in a baking dish

  4. Deglaze pan with chicken broth, scrapping the bottom of the pan to loosen all bits

  5. Cut potatoe into 3/4 inch chunks and add to broth, as well as celery, onion and frozen veggies.

  6. Pour the creme of chicken soup over the chicken chunks

  7. After broth has returned to a boil, pour over the chicken/soup mixture and add the bayleaf.

  8. Bake in oven for 2-3 hours

  9. At end of baking time, add the yogurt and serve.

  10. Complete the meal with a tossed salad.
