Chicken Spaghetti Recipe

Great casserole, could be called chicken alfredo's cousin. :)

Recipe Ingredients for chicken spaghetti

4 cups chicken breast
10 oz whole wheat spaghetti
21 1/2 oz cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup low fat chicken broth

Recipe Directions for chicken spaghetti

  1. heat oven to 350 degrees. add chicken to stockpot and cover with water and chicken broth. bring to a boil. reduce heat to medium and simmer until chicken is cooked, about 25 mins

  2. remove chicken from stockpot and set aside

  3. remove 2 cups of broth and set aside. bring remaining broth to a boil and add spaghetti until done

  4. shred or cut chicken into pieces

  5. place cooked spaghetti into large bowl. add soup, cheese, onion, green pepper, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

  6. add chicken and broth. stir together well and taste for seasoning

  7. pour mixture into a large baking dish. bake 35-45 mins until bubbly.
