This is the recipe for a typical shawarma that you would find off a small restaurant in the middle east. This recipe is actually turkish/lebanese. It's quick, easy on the pocket, and nutritionally seems quite healthy for a quick snack.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Shawarma

1 pita bread
1/4 tomato
20 g lettuce
40 g grilled chicken
10 g tahini
5 g french fries

Recipe Directions for Chicken Shawarma

  1. Grill Chicken on the shawarma/doner grill.

  2. Put teaspoon of Tahini on to the bread

  3. Followed by 30-40 grams of chicken.

  4. Layer with chopped lettuce, tomatoes and EXACTLY 3 fries (this is the most accurately measured ingredient in all shops here in the GCC, kind of strange...)

  5. Roll and serve!
