brown rice, turkey sausage, boneless skinless chicken breasts

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya

1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
3 pieces
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
3 cups brown rice

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya

  1. Brown chicken breasts in olive oil.

  2. Remove chicken, add chopped vegetables to remaining olive oil, add add'l if needed.

  3. Sautee vegetables until onions are clear.

  4. In large pot, add chicken, sliced sausage, and vegetables.

  5. Add brown rice, and just enough water to cook the rice (per package instructions).

  6. Bring to boil, then cover, cook for just long enough to cook rice.

  7. DO NOT stir while cooking!

  8. When rice is cooked, gently TURN mixture a few times to ensure completely cooked.
