Pretty good cacciatore! (The pasta is about 2 1/2 cups)

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Sausage Cacciatore

1 large green pepper, sliced into thin strips
1 medium onion, sliced into thin rings
1 cup mushrooms
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, browned
1 lb. turkey sausage, browned
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
2 tbsp italian seasoning
21 oz. no-salt added tomato sauce
170 g pasta, rotini

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Sausage Cacciatore

  1. Layer vegetables in slow cooker.

  2. Top with meat.

  3. Sprinkle with seasonings.

  4. Top with 13 oz. tomato sauce.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

  6. Uncover, stir, and add 8 oz. of tomato sauce.

  7. Cook uncovered for another 15 minutes.

  8. Serve over pasta.
