Adapted from Paula Deen's "The Lady and Sons' Chicken in Wine Sauce." Paula would be ashamed, but I forgot to add butter! It tasted fine, and saved some fat. I also subbed chicken broth for the white wine, since I didn't want to open my expensive bottle for 1/4 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken with Chicken Sauce

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast tenderloins
1 Kosher salt
1 Freshly ground black pepper
4 ounces (about 4 slices) Swiss cheese
10 3/4 ounce condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 ounces (1/6 box) stuffing mix, crushed

Recipe Directions for Chicken with Chicken Sauce

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Add the chicken to a 9 x 13 casserole and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Layer the cheese slices on top.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix the soup and the broth, season with salt and pepper and pour over the cheese. Sprinkle stuffing mix on top. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve.
