Homeade, chicken pot pie from scratch, minus the pastry part.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Pot Pie

1 frozen puff pastry
2 cup,+chopped+or+diced chicken breasts
1 onion
1 lb. mushrooms
1/2 cup Broccoli Florets
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
4 T butter
4 T flour
4 Serving Serving Chicken
2 cups low fat milk
4 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Chicken Pot Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 400.

  2. Cube chicken and cook in a skillet with diced onions and 2 cloves of garlic.

  3. Defrost veggies.

  4. Make roux sauce.

  5. Mix everything in 8 inch casserole.

  6. Brush edges of casserole with egg wash and place defrosted puff pastry on the top of the dish, pinching to seal.

  7. Brush top of pastry with egg wash.

  8. Cook for 20 minutes or until pastry is golden.
