This can also be divided into 4 individual oven safe bowl to make single pies. I halve the crust recipe when I do this so you only have the top crust!

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Pot Pie

3/10 cup brumell and brown spread
3/10 cup flour
3/10 cup onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 3/4 cup Pacific Natural chicken broth
2/3 cup skim milk
2 cups cooked chicken
5 oz frozen peas
4 oz frozen carrots
4 oz frozen green beans
2/3 cup brummel and brown spread
2 T brumell and brown spread
2 cup flour
2 tsp celery seed
1 tsp salt
4 tsp water

Recipe Directions for Chicken Pot Pie

  1. Prepare the Filling: melt 1/3 cup spread in a skillet. Blend in 1/3 cup flour, onion, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from the heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 min. Stir in chicken and vegetables. Reserve.

  2. Prepare the Pastry: cut remaining spread into flour, celery seed, and salt. Sprinkle in water 1 T at a time, tossing with a fork until all flour is moistened and pastry almost cleans sides of the bowl. Gather into a ball.

  3. Assembly: Roll 2/3 of pastry ino a 13" square on lightly floured board. Ease pastry into a square 9x9x2 pan. POur in chicken filling. Roll remaining dough into a 11" square. Place over filling. Roll edges under; flute. Cut slits in center to allow steam to escape. Cook uncovered in 425 degree oven until crust is brown, 30-35 minutes.
