Chicken Pot Pie filling to be put into a pie shell or served over buiscuts.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Pot Pie filling

2 carrots, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
1 onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 potato, diced
1/2 cup peas
1/2 pound chicken breast, cooked
3 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons flour
1 can chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Chicken Pot Pie filling

  1. Melt butter in a large sautee pan over low heat. Add onion, garlic, celery, carrots and potatoes. Sautee over medium heat for 10 minutes until veggies are slightly tender.

  2. Sprinkle flour over veggie mixture and stir to form a rue. Let the flour cook for about a minuite. Slowly stir in chicken stock. Allow all the stock to be absorbed until adding the next batch of stock.

  3. Let the mixture bubble and thicken. Add cooked chicken and allow to simmer for 10 more minutes.
