Chicken Pot Pie with Pillsbury crust

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Pot Pie 2

1 cup Onions
1 cup pieces Mushrooms
2 tbsp Butter
0.33 cup Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour
12 oz Chicken 33% Less Sodium Broth Rtsb
8 oz Simply Smart Fat Free Half
3 1/2 piece Roasted Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 cup Peas, Green
2 crust Pillsbury Pie Crusts All Ready Rolled
1 tbsp Poultry Seasoning
1 cup slices Carrots

Recipe Directions for Chicken Pot Pie 2

  1. Cook onions, carrots, and mushrooms in butter until tender.

  2. Add flour and poultry seasoning and stir to coat vegetables.

  3. Add chicken broth and half and half and cook (stirring occasionally) until thickened and bubbly.

  4. Add chicken and peas and stir to combine.

  5. Pour filling into pie dish lined with first pie crust and top with second pie crust. (optional - egg wash top of pot pie for maximum browning)

  6. Cut a few slits in top to allow for steam to escape and bake at 400 for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
