Boneless skinless chicken breasts cooked with onions and portabello mushrooms.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Portabello mushrooms

8 oz chicken breast
8 oz portabello mushrooms
1 cup onion
2 tbsp garlic
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup water (or chicken stock)

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Portabello mushrooms

  1. Cook chicken in olive oil until golden brown.

  2. Remove from pan.

  3. Cook onions in same pan.

  4. Add balsamic vinegar to the pan to deglaze it.

  5. Add the chicken back into the pan.

  6. Add 1 cup of water.

  7. Stir to make sure the bottom of the pan is deglazed.

  8. Add portabello mushrooms.

  9. Cover and cook on low until the mushrooms release their juices.

  10. Add more water if needed.
