Makes 4 servings

Breaded and baked chicken topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Parmesan

0.5 tsp Salt, Table
16 oz Fresh Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
0.5 tsp Pepper, Black
2 large Egg, White
1 cup Bread Crumbs
2 tbsp Parmesan, Grated Cheese
0.5 tsp Italian Seasoning Salt

Recipe Directions for Chicken Parmesan

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cover the chicken breasts with parchment paper or plastic wrap and, with a meat mallet or heavy-bottomed pan, pound the chicken until it is uniformly 1/4" thick. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Place egg whites in a shallow bowl. Mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning on a large plate.

  3. Dip each breast into the egg whites to coat both sides and then into the crumb mixture, patting the crumbs so they fully cover the chicken.

  4. Cook chicken for 15 minutes, or until crust is golden and meat is firm.

  5. Spoon the tomato sauce over the chicken, then top with the mozzarella cheese and place back in over for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
