Warm, Hearty...simply delicious. If you like spicy food, and can find Hungarian Hot Paprika I would strongly suggest using that. If you can't find the hot paprika, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes - or more depending on your taste. You can serve this over egg noodles, rice, or potato dumplings.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Paprikas

2 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons paprika
12 oz chicken breast, cut into 1" cubes
1 cup chicken broth
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
8 oz sour cream

Recipe Directions for Chicken Paprikas

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, salt, paprika. Stir together and saute until onion is translucent. Add chicken pieces and pour water over all. Cook over medium heat for 1 hour, adding more water if necessary.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, reserving liquid. Stir liquid into a medium bowl with flour and sour cream; mix until well blended, then slowly add mixture to chicken, stirring constantly. Cook until mixture is thick.
