A wonderful recipe that I prepared and measured for ease for everyone else. Please add another 12 calories to the calorie count as this website does not yet recognize Better Than Bouillon.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Noodle Soup Homemade

16 cups water
26 3/5 ounces chicken, boiled and cut up
12 tsp chicken bouillon
1 medium yellow onion
8 ounces egg noodles
21 1/2 ounces celery
27 4/5 ounces carrot

Recipe Directions for Chicken Noodle Soup Homemade

  1. In 16 cups of water, add one full chicken (minus gizzards and neck) cut up and bring to boil. Once boiling, skim the fat/dirt off. Add onion and BETTER THAN BOUILLON. Simmer 20 minutes. Add celery and carrots (which was one full bag of each cut up). Simmer 20-30 more minutes. Remove chicken and debone. This is where I came up with 26.6 ounces of chicken. Tear up chicken into bite sized pieces and add back to soup mixture. Pour in bag of egg noodles and add parsley for color/flavor to taste.

  2. I measured out 14 servings, each about 13.5 ounces.
