Slow cooker recipe that I tried to slim down on the calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and mushroom potpie

8 oz Organic Cremini Mushrooms Packaged
1 cup, chopped Carrots
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
0.33 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
24 oz Chicken
1 cup Peas, Green
1 cup Frozen Green Beans
4 oz Fat Free Half and Half

Recipe Directions for Chicken and mushroom potpie

  1. In a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker, mis the mushrooms, carrots, onion, flour, thyme, bay leaf and 1/2 cup water. Place chicken on top, season with salt and pepper.

  2. Cover and cook until chicken and veggies are tender, on low for 7 to 8 hours and high for 4 to 5 hours.

  3. Thirty minutes before serving, heat over to 425. Cut pastry into six circles and bake until golden, 8 to 10 minutes.

  4. Ten minutes before serving, add the frozen vegetables, and half and half, stir. Cover and cook on high until heated through, 10 to 15 more minutes.

  5. To serve place chicken mixture in bowls and top with pastry round.

  6. I'm approximating 6 servings per recipe.
