Chicken and Mushroom Pasta Recipe

Chicken, mushrooms, garlic and white wine with just the right seasoning are served over wide egg noodles and topped with Parmesan cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Mushroom Pasta

4 oz egg noodles
12 oz chicken breasts
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp garlic
1/2 tsp tarragon
8 oz mushrooms
1/2 c white wine
1/2 c chicken broth
1/4 c parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Mushroom Pasta

  1. Place bag of chicken on bag holder. Add 1 tbsp flour, 1/4 tsp salt (optional) and 1/8 tsp pepper. Seal bag and toss to coat chicken.

  2. Put a quart size bag on a bag holder. Add 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic, tarragon, mushrooms, white wine, 1 tbsp flour, chicken broth, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp pepper.

  3. Take bag of chicken, bag of noodles, bag of parmesan and bag of mushrooms and place in a storage bag. Seal and label.

  4. Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken to pan; saute 4 minutes or until browned. Remove chicken from pan.

  5. Add mushroom mixture to pan and cook, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.

  6. Return chicken to the pan. Cover and simmer until chicken reaches 165 degrees on an instant read thermometer. Stir in noodles and cook 1 minute or until thoroughly heated.

  7. Place noodles, sauce and one chicken breast on each plate. Top with parmesan cheese.
