Recipe Ingredients for chicken masala

30 ounce tomato sauce
2 cups heavy cream
12 ounce chicken breast
3 tsp salt
6 tsp cumin
4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cinnamon
2 jalapeno pepper
2 garlic clove
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp ginger powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup yogurt, plain, nonfat

Recipe Directions for chicken masala

  1. saute in butter, for 1 minute: garlic minced, jalapeno pepper minced, 4 tsp of cumin, 4 tsp of paprika, 2 tsp ginger, 3 tsp salt

  2. add tomato sauce and cream, simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally.

  3. Cut chicken into thin strips or small chunks. Marinate in yogurt, lemon juice, 2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. I put the chicken and marinated mixture into a quart baggie and have a family member "knead" it for 5 minutes. (that way I don't have to remember to do it ahead of time)

  4. Grill chicken ( grill it in an electric grill for 5 to 7 minutes ) I catch the drippings and add it to the sauce.

  5. Add grilled chicken to sauce. simmer 5 minutes and serve over rice
