Chicken marsala/egg noodle combo USE MARSALA INSTEAD OF WHITE WINE use whole wheat egg noodles

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Marsala "Toss"

8 ounces uncooked egg noodles
1 pound chicken breast
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp dried basil
8 ounces mushrooms
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Chicken Marsala "Toss"

  1. Cook noodles according to package

  2. Cut chicken into 1 inch pieces.

  3. Combine 1 tbsp. flour with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper and sprinkle over chicken - toss to coat.

  4. Heat olive oil in skillet and saute chicken until browned. Remove chicken from pan. Add garlic, basil, and mushrooms; saute until liquid evaporates and mushrooms darken.

  5. Add wine and cook 1 minute.

  6. Stir in remaining 1 tbsp flour, stirring constantly.

  7. Add broth, remaining 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper; cook 1 minute until slightly thick.

  8. Return chicken to pan - cover and simmer 2 minutes.

  9. Uncover; cook 1 minute until chicken is done. Stir in cooked noodles.

  10. Cook 1 minute more until heated through.
