Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Marsala

1 pound chicken breast
2 tbs flour
1 tsp garlic powder, divided
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup marsala wine
3/4 cup water
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil, divided
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp parsley
1 tsp cornstarch

Recipe Directions for Chicken Marsala

  1. Pound down chicken til thin

  2. Mix flour, 1/2 tsp garlic powder & pepper

  3. Dredge chicken lightly on both sides in flour mix

  4. In large skillet, heat 1/2 tbs oil and saute chicken about 5 minutes each side, remove from pan

  5. Add other 1/2 oil to pan, saute mushrooms over medium heat until browned - about 10 minutes

  6. Add chicken broth, wine, water and remaining ingredients to mushrooms, cook down a few minutes

  7. Return chicken back to pan and simmer 3 minutes
