Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Mac and Cheese

1 lb chicken thigh
8 oz penne pasta
1 onion
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
3 cups milk
16 oz Smoked Cheddar Cheese
3 tbsp butter
2 serving trader joes tuscan pane

Recipe Directions for Chicken Mac and Cheese

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.

  2. Season Chicken with any herb seasoning

  3. Grill chicken until fully cooked

  4. Cut chicken into bite sized pieces. Set aside

  5. Shred the cheese. Dice the onion.

  6. Saute onions until soften. Add and melt three tbsp of butter. Next, add the flour to the onion butter mixture.

  7. Next, pour three cups of milk into the mixture. Lower heat and stir until slightly thickened.

  8. Remove from heat. Add the shredded cheese and stir.

  9. Boil the pasta until tender and drain.

  10. Mix cheese mixture, pasta, and chicken together. Pour into a 13 x 9 glass baking dish.

  11. Next, crumble the french bread and drizzle melted butter. Spread evenly over the pasta mixture.

  12. Bake for 25 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes and serve.
