Recipe Ingredients for Chicken a la King

1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp white wine
5 ounce of frozen mixed vegetables, cooked
4 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese
6 slices white bread (cut into 4 triangles each)

Recipe Directions for Chicken a la King

  1. Melt butter in large frying pan.

  2. Add chicken in one layer and cook over medium heat for 4 minutes each side until light brown.

  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Stir in Sour Cream, soy sauce and paprika.

  5. Reduce heat and cook until sauce is hot, but not boiling, then stir in white wine and cook for one minute more.

  6. Add the hot, cooked vegetable mix (peas, onions, mushrooms).

  7. Transfer mixture to a greased 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish and sprinkle with parmesan.

  8. Broil for 4 minutes.

  9. Serve on toast points.
