Recipe Ingredients for Chicken A La King

3 cups chicken, cooked
1 green pepper
1/2 cups butter
1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cups peas, frozen
2 carrots, cooked

Recipe Directions for Chicken A La King

  1. Saute diced green pepper in butter. Mix in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk and chicken broth.

  2. Stirring frequently, bring to boil, then simmer until thickened. Add cooked chicken, frozen peas and cooked diced carrots until heated through.

  3. Serve over biscuits or toast.
