Recipe Ingredients for Chicken with Green Peppers and Onions

6.5 oz Chicken
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
89 3/10 grams Green Bell Pepper
1 small Onions
1 oz Lowfat Plain Yogurt
0.5 oz Sour Cream Regular
4 oz Chicken 33% Less Sodium Broth Rtsb
0.33 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Chicken with Green Peppers and Onions

  1. Slice onions and green bell peppers.

  2. Season chicken with salt and any favorite spices (no added salt)

  3. Add olive oil to skillet and heat over medium high heat.

  4. Place breasts on skillet and brown on both sides until golden. Remove from skillet and cut in strips. Place chicken strips on an ungreased baking dish.

  5. Add onions and bell peppers to skillet and saute until onions are golden. Remove from heat and add the peppers and onions to the baking dish ontop of the chicken.

  6. On a separate dish or bowl, combine the yogurt, chicken broth and sour cream. Mix them well, making sure the sour cream has no lumps.

  7. Pour on top of onions and green peppers.

  8. Bake for 15 to minutes.

  9. Remove and serve with side vegetables or a serving of rice, pasta or bread.
