Chicken Gravy to serve with waffles

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Gravy

4 c. Chicken, Meat Only, Roasted
8 c. water
1/2 c. flour
1 salt
1 pepper

Recipe Directions for Chicken Gravy

  1. Put whole chicken in approx 8 cup water

  2. Boil until chicken is cooked thru (legs wiggle easily)

  3. Remove chicken from cooking water and cool; pick chicken apart; discard skin/bones; tear up chicken meat into bite-sized pieces and set aside

  4. Boil/reduce chicken stock; flavor chicken bouillon cube, as necessary

  5. Sprinkle flour or cornstarch slowly into chicken stock until it thickens in consistency; return cut up chicken pieces to pot

  6. Season with salt/pepper

  7. Serve with waffles and mashed potatoes
