Chicken with onion, pepper, and mushroom gravy to serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and gravy

18 ounces chicken, breast meat
1 ounce lemon juice
2 onion
6 ounces mushrooms
1 bell pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 cup milk

Recipe Directions for Chicken and gravy

  1. Brown sliced onions, mushrooms, and red bell pepper in olive oil and/or Pam spray; Remove to bowl

  2. Cut up chicken breast into chunks and brown

  3. Drizzle lemon juice over chicken and cook until tender

  4. Add to bowl with veggies

  5. Melt butter, add flour, cook roux

  6. Add milk and cook until thickened

  7. Add chicken/turkey stock

  8. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta
