Tomato based chili with cocoa powder and ground chicken.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken & Garbanzo Bean Chili

1 tsp olive oil
2 red bell pepper, chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
1/2 lb ground chicken
1 T flour
1 T chili powder
1 T cumin
1 tsp cocoa powder
28 oz crushed tomatoes
2 T balsamic vinegar
3/4 c garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

Recipe Directions for Chicken & Garbanzo Bean Chili

  1. heat oil in large pan

  2. sautee bell peppers and onion til softened

  3. add chicken

  4. sprinkle with flour, chili powder, cumin, cocoa powder and chili paste.

  5. stirring briskly and constantly for 1 min

  6. add tomatoes and vinegar, bring to a boil

  7. reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 mins

  8. stir in garbanzo beans, heat another 5-7 mins.
