Made with venison backstrap. Can substiture round steak.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Fried Steak

1 lb venison
1 egg
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Chicken Fried Steak

  1. Tenderize venison and cut into 2 inch squares. Dredge in flour, then egg (lightly beaten), then flour again. Fry in oil over med heat, turning when half way done.

  2. For gravy, reserve 2 tbsp of pan drippings. Add 2 tbsp flour used for dredging. Then add milk... stir constantly until gravy is thickened. I add black pepper to mine.
