Mom's version of the chicken fried steak

Recipe Ingredients for chicken fried burger

3/4 pound lean ground beef
1 egg
4 tbsp reduced fat milk
3/8 cup flour
1/2 tsp seasoning salt
3 tbsp canola oil

Recipe Directions for chicken fried burger

  1. smash burger into 1/4 pound patties

  2. mix egg and milk in bowl

  3. mix flour and seasoning salt on plate

  4. heat oil in pan

  5. dip burger patties in egg/milk mixture

  6. dredge burgers in flour mixture

  7. place in pan of heated oil

  8. fry for 5 minutes per side

  9. drain excess oil on paper towl lined plate.

  10. Pour gravy over, if you are so inclined.

  11. enjoy
